ESSENTIAL MULTIPLO GLASS | Collaborative workspaces
Contemporary office design is increasingly defined by the need for flexibility. Today’s workspaces must adapt to different working patterns, combining open-plan areas, meeting rooms and focused work zones without losing spatial continuity or visual clarity.
The Cluster Offices project responds to that challenge through a strategy based on transparency and the use of glass partitions, including frameless glass partitions that enhance spatial continuity. Rather than dividing the space into rigid layouts, the design introduces internal movable partitions that allow the workspace to adapt to different uses while maintaining a continuous spatial reading.
The challenge: dividing without closing
Within the Cluster Offices layout, one of the main challenges was to introduce functional separation within an open-plan office without losing visual connection between spaces.
The design needed to balance:
-
Open and collaborative work areas
-
Enclosed spaces for meetings and focused work
-
Access to natural light across the entire floor
-
A consistent architectural language
Traditional partitioning solutions tend to create visual barriers and limit the flow of natural light. In this case, the objective was clear:
To divide the space without closing it.
This required defining boundaries without compromising spatial continuity or the overall perception of the environment, particularly in areas such as meeting rooms with frameless sliding glass doors, where flexibility was essential.
Design strategy: continuity and transparency
The design approach focuses on maintaining a fluid spatial reading, where physical boundaries do not interrupt the perception of the whole.
To achieve this, the project incorporates:
-
Glass partitions as the main element
-
Frameless glass partitions, ensuring visual continuity
-
Integrated sliding solutions that divide space without adding visual weight
-
A telescopic sliding door system to close large openings while maximising usable space
-
Continuity in materials and flooring
Transparency becomes a key design tool, allowing spaces to be defined without isolating them, enhancing visual connections and maximising natural light.
Essential Múltiplo Glass: telescopic glass sliding door system
To resolve transitions between spaces, the project integrates Essential Múltiplo Glass, a telescopic glass sliding door system developed as part of a wider range of commercial hardware solutions for interior architecture.
Unlike conventional sliding doors, this system allows large openings to be closed using multiple panels that move in a coordinated way. In this case, a three-panel telescopic system optimizes the available space and enables the environment to adapt to different uses.
The system incorporates a belt-driven synchronised mechanism, ensuring smooth and controlled movement of all panels, enhancing usability in a working environment.
From a design perspective, it offers:
-
Optimised opening space, with panels stacking compactly
-
Closure of large openings, maintaining visual continuity
-
Coordinated movement via belt system
-
Clean integration, with no visible overlapping elements
-
Unobstructed floor passage, thanks to the absence of a bottom track
-
Flexible configuration, adaptable to different project requirements
The use of glass reinforces spatial transparency, while these frameless sliding glass doors allow large areas to be opened or closed without disrupting functionality or layout.
In this way, the system becomes part of a cohesive architectural language, where telescopic hardware supports design intent without becoming visually intrusive

The result: flexible and connected workspaces
The result is a workspace in Cluster Offices that responds to contemporary working dynamics, balancing openness and privacy.
The integration of a three-panel telescopic system maximises clear opening width="100%">
This translates into:
-
Open areas that encourage collaboration
-
Enclosed spaces for focused work
-
Smooth transitions between different uses
-
Optimal use of natural light
-
A continuous spatial perception, free from fragmentation
The use of glass partitions and sliding systems creates a brighter, more organised and adaptable working environment.
Flexibility is no longer an occasional requirement, but an inherent quality of the design itself.
Conclusion
Office design today is no longer about dividing space, but about making it adaptable. This project demonstrates how frameless glass partitions, frameless sliding glass doors, and advanced telescopic hardware systems can meet functional requirements without compromising architectural quality.
The integration of Essential Múltiplo Glass ensures that the architecture is not interrupted, but evolves with the way the space is used.
